AMAZING
I live in black jeans (and also J brand's specifically) and I am between 5'2-5'3 and these are THE PERFECT length. I always struggle with skinny jeans being short because sometimes when you hem them, they aren't as tight at the bottom which I dislike, but I also don't always want the rolled/cuffed look. These are exactly what I want- nice dark black, perfect length, not TOO stretchy so they still have some structure/don't feel like leggings. Now that they are restocked I am tempted to order another pair right now!!!

Skeptical at first...
Given that these are high waist, these jeans were a bit tight when I first got them, but now they've molded quite nicely to my body. Good length as well - I'm 5'0 for reference and took my usual size 29. Another great pair of jeans by J Brand.

I have been looking for a perfect black skinny jeans for a long,long time. I tried the Maria of J Brand and the Farrah in AG, both of them were baggy out after a few wears, especially at the knee. That make me feel so sad, I paid a lot of money on them, but they did not treat me back with the quality that should have. What a pity. I almost give up, but when I saw the Alana, I decided to try the last time. Just wore it two times since I got it, it work well now. But I haven't wash it, hope the Alana can keep its shape. By the way, I am 5.5, they are just at my ankle.

Why is it always easier to find a great pair of blue jeans, but not black? For me that's the case. I wanted these to work. They are very nice jeans. The length wasn't quite right for me and I just wanted to fabric to feel super comfy and stretchy.

Actually I bought Maria in Vanity.. But shopbop sent ALANA to me..but I decided to keep it..This one is also made by photo ready fabrics, that I love.

Really liked...but came stretched out
Was really excited to receive these. I'm 5'7" and the crop came right to my ankle, which was perfect. However, the pant came stretched out in the butt and thighs, as if someone had already worn them. Could see that they would sag after only the first use, unless I simply got an oddball pair. Too bad since otherwise I would have kept them.

Amazing high rise jeans
Like all J Brands, these jeans fit true to size for me, with the perfect Photo Ready stretch. I liked the high rise (but not so much that it covers your belly button!), and the length was perfect for my short 5'3 frame.
