I've had this backpack for about 5 months now and i can say that im in love. Before buying it of course i watched tons of youtube videos about the bag and i was sceptical whether it would be the real thing and indeed it is authentic. A bit of the stitching is coming off on the little part that keeps the handles together, but nothing serious. The best backpack ever would recommend 10/10.

painful straps, nothing special
I don't understand the appeal of this bag, but maybe others use it differently? I was looking for a bag to put my 13" laptop in for short trips to / from work, and as a purse alternative for day trips / traveling. The laptop fits fine, but there's really no padding anywhere on this bag. There is a little unpadded slot inside where you could theoretically put a laptop, but otherwise, it's really sparse. (Fjallraven has a separate laptop bag, but I've carried my laptop in a canvas grocery bag before and this is way worse.) The straps are really thin nylon webbing, no padding on them. It keeps the bag light, but with *just* my laptop (w/o charger, keys, wallet), it was still uncomfortable from the straps cutting into my shoulders. If you have back problems, this is not the bag for you. The material is heavy duty and heavily water-resistant (maybe waterproof?), but coarse and unlined. Got the Herschel Settlement Backpack in a cute print instead. Padded straps, much better option.

The perfect daypack!
I'm very happy with my purchase. My new Kanken looks very nice, it's durable and fits all my everyday necessities. Fits A4 binders, too; has a built-in seat/back padding. Two reminders are in order, though: 1) look up photos of your desired colour beforehand to know what they actually look like (I got an oxblood one -- LOVE the shade; however, it's a lot more 'rusty' than I expected); 2) be prepared to wash it once a month -- it's canvas and it gets dirty, no matter how careful you are. Bus seats especially are the enemy.
It fits perfectly on my back and doesn't look neither tiny nor enormous (I'm a 170 cm US size 4).

Looks cheap
For some reason, I managed to let the popularity of this bag to convince me to purchase one, and guess if I'm sorry that I did. It is quite "roomy" and waterproof, but looks so darn cheap, and the material is not the best "feel". I guess you can't expect much for that price. It fulfills it's purpose, and that's all that matters, I suppose. Still using it.

Green Kanken
There are plenty reviews online to learn everything you need to know about this backpack, for me personally it turned out to be smaller than expected. I got the green one, which looks almost khaki in the picture Shopbop used, but it is actually a colour called "Forest Green" on Fjallraven official website. You might want to ggogle that to get a better idea of a colour.
