About the Designer

Launched by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni in 1953 and currently owned and run by their three children, Missoni is known for its mastery of the art of knitwear. The brand is a leader in the medium, having transformed a knitting machine traditionally used to make shawls into one that could turn out colorful, super-light dresses, tops, and skirts. A favorite among the fashion set, Missoni's zigzag stripes are recognized the world over.
