Northern Ireland native Jonathan William Anderson fell into fashion design by way of the stage. Finding himself drawn to the art of costuming while working toward an acting career, Anderson decided to switch paths, going on to study menswear at the London College of Fashion, graduating in 2005. After great success with his first line in 2008, and a host of prestigious awards won, Anderson extended the label to include women’s wear, much to the delight of smitten fans and stockists. Today, London-based JW Anderson clothing is adored for its subtle modernity and minimalist elegance.
