Great Bag for Digital Nomads
This is now my go to bag for traveling and keeping it stylish at the same time. It's practical and folds well for packing in a suitcase. However, the front pocket does not shut completely and if you lay the bag flat on a flight/train things tend to slide out through the sides. Opt to stash your valuable belongings inside or use a smaller pouch to hold everything in.

The color and design is exactly what I want. The packing is nicely done. The size is bigger than i expected, and the bag is roomy. The leather looks durable. I ranked it 4 stars is because of the strong smells which i'm not sure if it comes from the leather or other sources like glues. The odor is different than my other leather bags. Hope it will go away after short time.

Great for weekending & travel!
First I'd like to make a shoutout to Shopbop for packaging this backpack perfectly. It arrived in pristine condition without a single scratch on the leather after the shipping to me. I've received hardcover books in worse condition than this backpack, so bravo!
Moving on to the backpack itself, it's very roomy, although bigger than I thought it would be... my fault though, I'm terrible at eyeballing measurements. The italian leather is high quality. Veg tanned leather is quite durable, and the pebbling should help keep scratches at bay.
Other backpacks of this same type of leather, size, and quality are way more expensive so you can't go wrong with this one. I bought this on sale but in my opinion full price is still an excellent value for what you're getting.
I'm giving this 4 stars because it's not perfect. I would have preferred it to be a bit smaller, and the button strap closures to be easier to use. Other than that, I love it.

It's very useful that you can put many things in it when you go out for hiking or traveling. But it's a bit heavy even it is empty.

Great leather and lasts forever
The quality of this bag just met my expectations. But the inter zipper pocket has a minor flaw, it's not fully sewed. The top flap secures with a buttoned strap, but it only has one punch hole in the strap which makes it more difficult to close up when I put my 13' laptop in.

Great bag
I' ve no idea how to express how much I am pleased with the backpack, it is well made with durable raw leather which is just as the brand name "madewell" and roomy enough to carry all my stuff for 1 week's journey, the English saddle color is very chic as well. I've already fallen into the bag which goes with most of my clothes.
