Find a similar style from your wardrobe that fits you just right. To take measurements, lay the garment down on a flat surface without stretching the fabric.
Waist
Measure across the garment at the natural waist and double the measurement.
Rise
Measure from the middle of the waistband to where the inseams (legs) meet.
Leg Opening
Measure across the leg opening, then double the measurement.
Inseam
Measure down the inner leg from the crotch to the leg opening.
Hip
Measure across the garment at the widest part of the hip and double the measurement.

I am 5'2 and pretty curvy on bottom but my waist is very small, so I have a really hard time finding denim shorts that fit my thighs without massive gapping at the waist. I ordered these and the same pair in the lighter Swapmeet wash, both in my true size 26. This wash fit perfect in the waist and thighs (though I agree with another reviewer that the inseam is definitely shorter than advertised), while the Swapmeet wash gave me a huge waist gap. How could this be, when they're both 26?? I think the key is the rise. These are 10.75", while the Swapmeet wash is 11.5". The 26 measurement refers to the waist part of the shorts, so depending on where the rise hits on your torso, there may or may not be a waist gap. The Swapmeet wash had a higher rise, so it went up to the smallest part of my waist, which is probably closer to 24/25. This pair hit just below the smallest part of my waist (where the "hourglass" starts to widen) so they fit perfect. I hope this helps the sizing woes!!

I know what you are thinking: I don't want to go down one size because these shorts are rigid denim and I want a relaxed fit. Even one size down you will get a relaxed fit (TTS just results in a HUGE waist gap). They are cute and have a nice cut.

Inseam
I'm returning because the inseam wasn't close to the item description and I'm looking for a slightly longer inseam. The description says 2.75 the pair i have measures 1.25" The fabric feels great, love the wash. if you size up, beware that these hike up as you walk and will likely be loose in the waist.

I have wanted these shorts for a long time! I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair and I could not be happier! I read reviews to determine sizing, there were a lot of mixed reviews so I purchased a 26,27,28 lol I am usually a true 27 but reviews had said they run large and small so I was confused! I ended up keeping the 26, so I would say they run big!

Cute denim shorts
I like AGOLDE denim, I own a few pairs, and this one didn't disappoint either. I like that the leg opening isn't tight around my thighs and the rise is perfect. I wish the inseam was maybe 1 inch longer but that being said, still a cute pair of shorts.

dont understand the hype with these shorts - definitely fit well and were high waisted, but if anything a little big. im a true 27 in pretty much every denim and have a lot of room at the waist. great color and distressed look - i'll keep them but i wont buy them again.

This is my second pair of Agolde Parker Vintage Loose Fit Shorts! I have these in Swapmeet and I like it so much that I wanted the Heartbreaker one as well, unfortunately they're out of stock so when I saw this new colour I knew I had to get it! I wear 27 in Citizens of Humanity and Mother, so I got 27 for these shorts as well and they fit perfectly! Falls perfectly by my belly button, I'm in love with high rise jeans!
