Comfortable and classy
The leather is rather stiff, so I feared these would hurt to walk long distances in or cut up my feet. But boy was I wrong. These are as comfortable as can be. I have rather narrow feet but a broader toe box, and these fit true to size and didn't blister or pinch anywhere.

i'm surprised that the plastic is very soft and elastic. It does not hurt my feet. The design is nice and comfortable. The material is better than Melissa shoes. However, size is smaller than expected, i'd suggest to get half size bigger.

too small, bad fit
the shoes are ill fitted in the footbed and manufactured WAYYYY too small.
I ordered these right before a trip because i knew they'd be delivered in time (thank you shopbop for being amazing in that way) however when they arrived i didn't check the sizing well enough and decided to keep them when i shouldn't have. the way the footbeds constructed makes it painful when you walk so size up in order for your foot to actually be in the shoe. i did however fix the problem by heating the rubber with a blowdryer.

Quality Not as Expected
I love the style of this sandal but for the price, I expected a thicker sole. It looks a bit cheap. Also, the size is smaller than expected. I own several pairs of Ancient Greek Sandals and have found this to be true for all. I'm normally a size 8.5 and the European size 40 fits perfectly.

Great design but too painful to wear
I so wanted to love these sandals- they do look beautiful. However, the toe post which goes between the toes is far too wide such that it chafes and feels so uncomfortable when you try these sandals on for size and take a few steps. go figure how much pain you'd be if you walked in them for real! No amount of breaking these in will help- the leather toe post is just far too wide for that. Trust me- I have over 40 pairs of sandals in my wardrobe in this style ranging from high fashion houses to mid-range fashion brands and none of them ever gave me such problems. These are going back.

Great Sandal
Got these in gold and love them. Find them more comfortable than my Iseme pair. I've seen a few reviews saying the Ancient Greek Sandals fit small. I found them true to size and one size up was too big.

Wish there were half sizes
This is a great looking sandal- I usually wear a size 8, but it was too small. I ordered the next size up and that was too large.

Nice but ...
I love the design and quality of this sandal. I had to return it because I found the ankle strap way too tight. Overall, it is a nicely designed shoe and very comfortable except for the strap.

Staple Sandal
Perfect flat white sandal for casual wear. Comfortable, easy to pack great quality leather. Only complaint would be the whole sizing as you're automatically going to the last holes if you happen to he a half size (and they still might be big). Certainly not a deal breaker, especially for the price.

Greek Goddess
Love these sandals. Effortlessly stylish, comfy and look great with everything. The colour is subtle and flattering against any skin colour. A little on the small side so if you don't like a snug fit with hardly any sole gaps, perhaps go up a size.

A little bit stiff
The leather was quite nice and the construction was very good, but the platform was quite stiff and didn't have much give. And I knew that this would bother me after a while, so I returned it. As for sizing, I'm usually between a 37 and 38, and I don't really like a lot of spacing around my toes in sandals, so I normally size down. These were a true 37 (unlike some other European brands I have) and was probably a tad bit short for me, so I should have sized up. It would not have helped with the stiffness issue, however, but now I know how Ancient Greek sizing works.

Great Investment Sandal
A beautifully crafted "flatform" sandal which I know will last many summers to come. The height of the sandal is perfect, as it adds a few cms of height (I am 161cm) without being too much. The sandal take some wearing in, as the two straps are quite tight on my low arch, normal width feet. If you have a high or very wide foot these might not be the best style for you. The wooden platform is classy and puts the sandal categories above those rubber platform sandals you see around the CBD. The wooden platform does add weight to the shoe (if you own funkis clog sandals, the weight is similar), which is good for an extra workout, but probably would be tiring if you are planning on walking kilometers and kilometers in these sandals. Another great aspect of the sandal is the lining, sole and straps are all black, and up the sandal in style stakes.

Lace-up trend falls short
I love this design and brand. It took less time to break these shoes in than my last Ancient Greek Sandals. My major issue is that the strings fall down all the time. I'm even willing to cut off my circulation and tie them tighter and they fall down. I went online to look up tricks as to how to keep them up, and I still struggle.
