Great small, durable backpack!
It looks tiny, but it's very spacious! I was about to return it because I thought the straps were too short and tight, but I decided to do some googling and found youtube video showing how to adjust the straps. Very easy to adjust and it fits very comfortable on the shoulders when adjusted to the appropriate length.

The color is very different from the picture. In the picture it looks more like pink/grey, and the real thing is wine red/black.
Plus, I thought choosing the 3rd shipment method meant it would take the longest time but would not get me in the customs trouble. However it took me around 1.5 month to get the package because it was held by customs. I had to take half a day off to declare and pay duty in person, and there were so many people queuing that it took me 3 hours to complete the whole process. I really did not see this coming.
Imagine how I felt when I see this bag so different from what I expected after going through so much...

Realy, really like this bag
I wanted a bag I could toss around and not worry about. The bag is lightweight and made of good material, while it is water repellent it is not waterproof. I will be waxing mine to help ensure that. I use it as an around town bag. I have a water bottle Thermos 18 oz./0.5 liter fits but it's tight (anything bigger will probably not fit into the side pocket), my wallet, book, pouch with odds and ends (toothbrush, contact solution, etc.), sunglass case, keys, and Ipad. Front pocket will not fit a continental sized wallet. I have a coin pouch, house keys, cell phone and chapstick. With just this stuff the bag is still light and not uncomfortable. I have no issues with the straps.You can fit much much more into it, but i could also see it becoming uncomfortable too if overstuffed. Got the forest green, it's a great shade, goes with a lot and hopefully won't show a lot of stains. I recommend the bag, i went into it know what i wanted out of it and didn't have unrealistic expectations.

The perfect daypack!
I'm very happy with my purchase. My new Kanken looks very nice, it's durable and fits all my everyday necessities. Fits A4 binders, too; has a built-in seat/back padding. Two reminders are in order, though: 1) look up photos of your desired colour beforehand to know what they actually look like (I got an oxblood one -- LOVE the shade; however, it's a lot more 'rusty' than I expected); 2) be prepared to wash it once a month -- it's canvas and it gets dirty, no matter how careful you are. Bus seats especially are the enemy.
It fits perfectly on my back and doesn't look neither tiny nor enormous (I'm a 170 cm US size 4).
