nice jacket for price point
I purchased this jacket anthracite, size small.. I typically wear size XS-S/bust 32/waist 25/ and the fit is snug but comfortable.
The only downside is the material seems to have lost its luster with a handful of wears. I have not washed yet, but little feathers are already coming out of seams.
It's a stylish coat for running errands or going to the gym. Also its not terribly warm, I will get most use in spring/fall.

I really love this coat. It is actually warm but not bulky at all. I'm 5'8" and 125 lbs but I have broader shoulders and medium fits great.

SAM Freedom Vest
I absolutely love this vest and wear it all the time.
I get so many compliments on it's colour, it is a gorgeous vibrant red with solid black zipping and high neck to keep me toasty in the cold.

In general, a great jacket, the only minus is not stitched bottom pockets inside, climb thread, I had to wear in the studio flash, everything else was fine.

Wish It Fit Better
I found this jacket to fit awkwardly and be too "puffy" which is far from flattering. I purchased a size up in order to layer and this jacket just didn't have enough room, even though I ordered a size M and am generally a S. I'm 5'5/120lbs with a large bust (32D) and slim waist. The color is a well saturated, pretty black and the finishes are fine, but, to me a jacket is all about the fit and this one isn't a keeper. Too bad because I like it! Women who have a boyish/or smaller bust size may have better luck!!

Fabulous fit!
The best thing about this parka is the flattering cut. I'm 5 foot 6, 112 pounds and ordered the XS, which gave me a shape that wasn't like the Marshmallow Man's.But I returned it because when I'm outdoors in winter, including skiing, I wear layers of sunscreen and tinted moisturizer and the collar is so high that I was afraid that I'd get face goo on it every time I wore it. And although lime green is one of my favorite colors, this jacket was a little too neon for me.

Perfect for Rainy Fall
Tried on at a department store to check the size and bought it immediately. LOVE. The hood is AMAZING and was the main selling point for me: perfect for rain since it completely covers and protects the fur collar inside (fur collar is removable too), adjusts to your head with bungies on the sides, stays up securely as you walk, even with a bun or ponytail! This is PERFECT for protecting your hairstyle in the rain too - the wide brim on the hood ensures my forehead and bangs don't get wet at all. Overall I thought this style of SAM coat ran large (I'm a size 8 in tops and dresses and took a S after my normal size M was way too big in the chest and waist). Its not very insulated though, definitely a Fall coat. So if you need room for sweaters or layers get your normal size and then cinch the waist with the drawcords. However, I also tried on the SAM down puffer/ sleeping-bag type coats and those ran true to size.

Shiny raincoat material
I was surprised when I got this coat by the fabric -- it's shinier than it appears in the picture and feels more like raincoat material than trench. The material is also pretty thin. The cut and fit is very flattering but I'm returning it, because it's a little expensive for what is basically a raincoat.

Careful
I own this in Mud color. Brand new, the sleeve snap fell off. Then the outer coat fabric ripped in a cross. Also ripped by the upper outer pocket (diagonal pocket) near the corner of the pocket beneath flap. Hard to repair. I like the color and the length is good for petite person. Hard to zip up--had this particular one snag so many times, I feared ripping it. It was so difficult to get the coated fabric unstuck. Be really careful. Other SAM items I've owned seem to be okay including another coated one, but this in particular was extremely fragile. I noticed the hardware was a lot different...seemed cheaper than my other more expensive SAM. parka.

classy and cozy!
This is my second fox fur vest and a great addition to my winter wardrobe in Texas. It is much lighter than my other fox fur vest ....which is perfect for Texas winters. I am 5'4, 130lbs, 34B, size 2/4 in clothes and the Medium vest fits perfectly. I LOVE the coloring and the quality is good. My only complaint is that this vest sheds...which I was pretty surprised since my other vest from Nordstrom does not shed (AT ALL). Still at the sale price this is a heck of a deal and I am excited to keep my new red fox fur. The colors are slightly different due to it being real natural fox fur which adds to its charm. The zipper detail is well made and the pockets are great for cold hands. I am glad I bought this and would recommend it. Just be aware of the shedding on black tops/dark wash jeans.
