As daughters of a leather-goods craftsman and manufacturer in Istanbul, Turkey, Beste and Merve Manastir spent their childhood surrounded by the smell of leather. Inspired by their father’s artisanship—and the mini handbags and backpacks he would make for them as children—they launched MANU Atelier in February 2014.
