Prabal Gurung dresses first appeared under their own label during NYFW Fall 2009. Raised in Kathmandu, the designer studied fashion at New Dehli's National Institute of Fashion Technology before his travels took him to Melbourne and London, where he assisted stylists for various publications. In 1999, he moved to NYC and interned for Donna Karan while attending Parsons. Since his 2010 CFDA Swarovski Womenswear Award nomination, Prabal Gurung shoes and accessories have joined the label’s enduring, well-heeled legacy on runways worldwide.
