A graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins fashion school, designer Han Chong logged a good decade working at other clothing labels before debuting his first line, Self Portrait, in 2013. Thanks to Chong’s deft hand at tailoring and distinctive method of layering lace, netting, and sheer panels, the collection of Self Portrait dresses, skirts, and tops was a hit from the get-go. Since then, Chong has applied his design expertise to work-appropriate separates, evening-ready suiting, and even polished shoes, each boasting the label’s signature feminine-luxe aesthetic.
