Great everyday tote.
This tote is a fantastic buy for the price and holds heaps!
The only gripe I have is that the leather is a little hard although I'm sure it will soften up with use.

Perfect tote
As soon as my bag arrived I fell in love. I was swayed to buy this tote from all the other amazing reviews on Shopbop and I could see as soon as I opened the Shopbop box why. Not only is this the perfect tote to carry around but it easily can go from casual to dressy. I have now ditched my Philip Lim purse to carry the Madewell tote. Amazing quality!!!

Timeless, practical and beautiful
I have been using this tote for several months and recently noticed that it has replaced all my other bags. I'm an avid collector and used to be into big labels, spending most of my money on Chloe, Mulberry, Miu Miu etc. handbags. But none of them can compete with the elegant simplicity of this tote. It is light and so versatile that I wear it to work, town outings, the grocery store, the mall or as an overnight bag. The leather is a bit stiff in the beginning, but softens and ages beautifully. The straps are just long enough for shouldering with anything but a down or puffy winter jacket. It is quite large (and I'm very short), but it doesn't look big on me, because it slouches a bit. The only caveat is that it has so closure so that I wouldn't take it on the plane. Treat it with some waterproofing leather protector spray and buff out little scratches with leather balm or vaseline in a pinch. It will thank you and will remain your reliable companion for years to come :)

Omg let me just start off by saying Shopbop completely ROCKKKKKS!!!! Their shipping is AMAZING, i ordered my bag late Friday night & received it Monday afternoon!!!...that's their AWESOME free shipping!!! As far as the bag, i love it!! I've been looking at this bag for over a yr. At first when i was going to get it, they were on back order. I'm so happy i finally got it!! It's amazing, i love everything about it. U can even fit so much more in than u think! There is just sooooo much i love about this bag, idk even know whete to start! If ur thinking about getting it, just do it!!! I promise u won't be disappointed! Oh, & it also gets better the more u use it, it gets softer, & more floppy! Ijust love love love this bag!!! Haha! :-)

Beautiful - wish it had a closing option
The bag was beautiful in person. The color is a true deep saddle, not orange or too dark. I love it combined with white and neutral colors. The size is the perfect I require for a roomy tote, without looking ridiculously big for any occasion.
It was quite structured, which I prefer and I wish it doesn't completely loose its shape with time.
The few cons I have found are:
- It's quite rough on the inside as it's not lined at all, so at first you might want to prevent the inside of the handles to rub onto any of your clothes and ruin them.
- Also, a closure option, as minimal as a magnet clap would have been very useful, given the bad will soften up and loose its shape with time.
I am using a kangaroo insert inside it, otherwise it would have been very difficult to hold everything in place (it has one small pocket inside).
Overall I am loving it and I find my money well spent (got mine during the FF25 sale).

Perfect for work!
Purchased as a work bag after great reviews from my BFF. Really like this, the leather is a bit stiff at first but hers has softened beautifully so I'm not concerned. For me, I liked the size of the bag with it being a bit taller than other bags to give extra room rather than wider. I can put my computer to one side and then throw my wallet, sunglasses case, and cosmetics case alongside and they dont seem to end up swimming at the bottom like in other work bags i have carried. Seems like a sleeker option for work, with enough structure, and easy to swap out of to other bags on weekends.

Not What I Expected
This bag is very big and roomy. It could definitely fit a laptop, an iPad, plus a sweater, a notebook, and more. It was my mistake for not reading the measurements carefully and basing my purchase solely on the photos. I returned it because it was not what I had expected. However, the quality seemed good, it was not too heavy for such a big bag, and the color was very pretty.
